Captain Chris Morin came to the Florida Keys in 2001 to begin his own “Walk About” adventure. His passion for fishing grew from a childhood spent fishing the Northern Maine woods, Connecticut rivers and streams, the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the Florida Keys. Beginning his professional fishing career with a fly fishing guide service on the scenic Farmington River in Connecticut, Capt. Chris took his pursuit for the ultimate learning experience out west. Fishing for the world renowned Sweetwater travel Guide company based out of Livingston Montana and fishing the blue Ribbon waters of the Big Horn River, Capt Chris quickly discovered his passion for fishing of every kind. The Summer of 2001 was spent guiding clients at the world famous Riversong Lodge on the southern bank of the Yentna River 110 miles South West of Anchorage Alaska where he fished for all five species of Salmon, Grayling, Rainbow Trout, and Northern Pike. In November 2001, Capt. Chris packed up his truck, fishing rods, his dog Cedar,and headed to the Florida Keys in search of a new challenge and Learning experience. Over time Chris gained experience from the Marathon Keys “old salts” Capt. Chris has learned the art of Charter Fishing in the Florida Keys and catering to the Marathon charter Sport fishing Enthusiasts, from novice to expert. Capt. Chris enjoys teaching his clients the skills needed for a great day on the water and offering his clients the thrill of a big catch.
